ArtsBridge is an educational consulting practice that provides college counseling services to both high school students and college transfer students who are interested in pursuing their education in the visual and performing arts, either as a major or extracurricular in college. We view each student as unique, and work to find the best possible match for each student’s distinctive needs and abilities.

Our work together will include among others, an assessment of where you are now, list of colleges to consider, assistance with the essays and all writing, testing strategy if needed, assessment of potential for arts as a major, and audition workshop, and more.

ArtsBridge Consulting Package includes:

·       Initial Artistic Evaluation - In order to assess your current level of competitiveness, ArtsBridge assembles faculty from two or three colleges to evaluate “where you are”.  The faculty have a keen sense of the level required for entrance into their school as a major, or even as a minor, at conservatory and non-conservatory type programs, colleges and universities. After the evaluation, the faculty members and ArtsBridge discuss the results, and issue a report to the family.  We offer advice on strengths and weaknesses and can offer referrals for teachers, rep coaches, etc.

·       College List- S2Stretch to Safe - Based on a comprehensive review of your initial evaluation and meetings with parents and the student, a review of your high school performance and test scores, ArtsBridge will provide you with a targeted list of the 15-20 target schools that best fit your level of performance, academic interests and future goals.

·       Audition Workshop/Final Evaluation - The workshop gives students and families the unique opportunity to “audition” in front of a panel of industry experts and/or college decision makers in early fall of their senior year. After a full audition, students will get direct feedback and coaching on all aspects of their audition – dress, attitude, performance technique, style, etc.  The Audition Workshop also serves as a Final Evaluation in order to reexamine the student’s progress and make any “tweaks” to the college list.

·       Academics Advising – the ArtsBridge Academics Advisor will assist in course selection for all upcoming semesters, review and editing of all essays (including personal statements and supplemental), assistance with completion of your college applications, transcript review, and recommendation letter advice.  Our advisor will also provide a custom timeline and schedule to keep you on track for college deadlines!

·       Branding – ArtsBridge offers assistance with website ideas/review, Facebook review, audition outfit advice, prescreening advice, interview technique advice, suggestions on how to navigate a school tour, advice on how to arrange a lesson, customized branding, and more.
